Welcome to Health Matters!

Allow me to introduce myself.

I have been a Licensed Vocational Nurse (also known as Licensed Practical Nurse in some states), since 2008 in Texas.

I have worked in multiple areas of nursing, including: pediatric home health, dialysis, hospice, medical/surgical in hospitals, staffing agency, nursing homes and more recently, primary care practice.

Patient teaching/education has always been my passion. Even as I sat for my board exam in February 2008, the majority of my test questions revolved around teaching and educating patients.

Over the course of these many years, I have developed my assessment skills and a particular interest in root cause analysis.

Why do some people have problems with certain health conditions and not others?

What are some reasonable steps to take to mitigate damage or even reverse a condition?

Why do we see so many people suffering the same conditions with no apparent relief or improvement?

As you can imagine, each of these questions has quite a complex web of answers and tangents.

To fully understand why health and healthcare seems to have declined in quality over the years, despite the many decades of technological advancement, we will have to find a starting point. And, as dauntingly complicated as it may all seem, there is a way.

I hope and pray that I am able to guide you, dear reader, toward better health, better understanding of how the body works, informed consent, and confidence to make decisions regarding your health for yourself.

Thank you for taking the time to visit.

God Bless You!
